What we do

Tri County Hearth & Patio Center offers a wide range of home-heating and patio products to homeowners in southern Maryland. We carry heating stoves, fireplace inserts, fireplace accessories, patio furniture, fire pits, grills and grilling accessories. We carry high-quality products and hope to create indoor and outdoor spaces that enhance our customer’s living spaces. We have been family owned and operated for 37 years. We are proud members of the National Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association and the National Barbecue Association.

What you would do

You would work in our two-story showroom, helping our customers find the products that fit their vision and their needs. You would help us build long-term relationships with our clients by giving them confidence in our products and confidence in our expertise as hearth and patio specialists. You would work Monday through Saturday, for an average of 40 hours a week, earning and hourly rate plus a commission. The majority of our sales — approximately 99 percent of them — are completed within our showroom, so you don’t need to worry about visiting customer’s homes or traveling around the area.

Your qualifications

The ideal candidate must be outgoing and customer oriented. You must be able to work independently, when needed, and as part of our team. Our new employee will need to learn the industry jargon and learn about our lineup of products. That knowledge is not a prerequisite; we will train you to serve as a knowledgeable and confident member of our sales team. Excellent communications skills are a must, and you will be expected to create a follow-up system to communicate with your customers. You must be willing to work overtime as seasonal demands dictate. A high school diploma is a must, and a college education is preferred.
